about
In my early years as an artist, all my energy was focused on painting and printmaking as my media for artistic expression. Coinciding with a scene change from Melbourne to Bendigo in 2004, I discovered digital technology, and with it the possibilities that it offered to me as an artist. I started photo-digital work in my spare time, but once I saw the possibilities of the medium, it became the focus of my artistic output.
I am a self-taught digital artist, having incorporated some of my experiences in painting and printmaking into this form of expression. Since 2005, I have shown my photo-digital work in various group exhibitions, and mounted solo exhibitions in 2009 and 2010.
Any gallery representation or exhibition enquiries are welcome.
artist's statement
My work should not be interpreted on a purely intellectual level, but on more of an emotional one, in much the same way that a listener is moved or transported by a favourite piece of music. My work is often primarily centred around a single natural object. Atmosphere, subtle surrealism, and a sense of nonspecific narrative are created within the work to enhance this emotional connection.
