about
In my early years as an artist, all my energy was focused on painting and printmaking as my medium for artistic expression. But in 2004, coinciding with a scene change from Melbourne to Bendigo, I discovered digital technology and with it the possibilities that it offered to me as an artist. I started photo-digital work in by spare time, but once I saw the possibilities it became the focus of my artistic output.
I am a self-taught digital artist having taken some of my experiences in painting and printmaking into this form of expression. Since 2005, I have shown my photo-digital work in various group exhibitions and a solo exhibition in 2009.

artist statement
My work should not be interpreted on a purely intellectual level but on more of an emotional one, in much the same way that a listener is moved or transported by a favorite piece of music. It is often primarily centered around a single natural object. Atmosphere, subtle surrealism, and a sense of nonspecific narrative are created within the work to enhance this emotional connection.
